A Major Ship Repair Company

A major ship repair company came to us and wanted to become the largest non-nuclear ship repair company in the United States. Representatives came to The SPECTRUM Group for effective liaison between the company, the U.S. government, and the Congress.

TSG developed and implemented strategies that increased the company’s revenues by more than 100 percent and established the company’s presence in five major U.S. ports.

A Major Defense Company

A major defense company engaged The SPECTRUM Group to interface with the Department of Defense and the Congress and to assist them in preparing a proposal to win a major Army contract.

In addition, our people assisted them with other programs, such as a major aircraft maintenance training system. We also assisted them to add more than $65 million to the federal budget for their programs over the past three years.

The Student Loan Industry

The student loan industry faced the threat of the pending Higher Education Bill which would reduce the interest rate the industry can charge on student loans, thereby paralyzing the program.

The SPECTRUM Group’s federal and congressional experts developed a strategy and implemented a plan to work with Congress and other industry organizations to stop the erosion of the student loan industry’s ability to do business. The ultimate passage of the Higher Education Act paved the way for a progressive partnership for other student loan issues.

A Large Southeastern State

A large southeastern state with more than 19 military installations contacted The SPECTRUM Group to prepare a proactive state and community program for the retention of its military bases and defense missions.

Our people conducted a four-month statewide assessment and prepared a comprehensive report with recommendations for the state and communities to build on strengths and lessen weaknesses identified.
