Understanding Government Contracts A Canadian company sought The SPECTRUM Group's assistance in determining the Army's internal actions that delayed the award of a production contract. In addition, TSG's assistance was sought in determining the decision process the Army used to significantly reduce the quantity of radios from previously stated requirements. These unplanned reductions resulted in an imbalance between new lesser quantities and bid unit price in the contract. TSG was able to provide wise counsel that enabled the company to renegotiate a new price that was equitable for both the government and the company. In addition, TSG assisted in getting appropriated dollars which had not been obligated for a lengthy time obligated. These actions resulted in a new price and the release of funds enabling a large quantity buy to be executed. |
