Biography:

Captain Mark Weiss concluded a distinguished career as a pilot with American Airlines. He has flown the Boeing 727, 737, 777, Fokker 100, and DC-10 on both domestic and international routes.

Captain Weiss represented his security associations with the Federal Air Marshal Service as a member of their Industry Panel. He was involved in the drafting of the Security Incident Reporting System with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. He contributed to the development of the Common Strategy for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). He was a member of the Cargo Working Group of the TSA's Aviation Security Advisory Committee (ASAC). Mark participated in the initial development of the TSA's Crew Member Self Defense Training Program.

Captain Weiss has served as a representative for APA at the American Airlines Joint Security Committee. He has assisted in the development and implementation of airline crew security programs. His expertise has been enlisted to respond to critical security situations worldwide.

Captain Weiss is a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science.
