Biography:

Major General Dan Dick, USAF (ret) joins the SPECTRUM Group from L-3 Communications where he was the Vice President for Business Development and Air Force Account Executive. Dan retired from the Air Force in 2003 after a 33-year career where he held a wide variety of command and staff positions. His last assignment was as the US Joint Forces Command (JFCOM) Director of Requirements and Integration, responsible for advocating joint requirements and advancing and enforcing the interoperability of legacy and future C4 systems. Prior to his JFCOM assignment, he was the Commander of 13th Air Force where he oversaw all Air Force operations in a 32-country area in Southeast Asia, the South Pacific and Indian Oceans.

A command fighter pilot, Dan has extensive experience in all facets of tactical air operations, strategic planning and requirements definition. He also has five years of defense industry experience in strategy formulation and all aspects of business development from opportunity identification, qualification, teaming, capture and proposal development. Additionally, Dan has a broad range of overseas experience having lived for nine years in Europe, one in Saudi Arabia where he commanded all the Air Force forces on the Arabia Peninsula, two on Guam as the 13th AF Commander, as well as experience in South and Central America while serving as the Southern Air Forces Vice Commander.

He has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Virginia Tech, a M.S. in Business Management from Troy University, and is a graduate of the National War College.
