  • Ms. Perri is a member of the Community Support Division at SPECTRUM. She provides strategic consulting, policy analysis, legislative and lobbying services in environmental and appropriations matters.

Biography:

Ms. Karla Perri Esq., has over 25 years of experience in federal and state legal, public policy and regulatory matters primarily in environment, natural resources, defense and national security. She is a former Presidential appointee with oversight responsibility for the Department of Defense t annual $2 billion environmental remediation program, for active and closed bases and ranges. As the Assistant Deputy Undersecretary for Environment at DoD, she had worldwide responsibility for the Defense Departments Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) program. Ms. Perri was executive director of the Defense Environmental Response Task Force, a DOD federal advisory council established to respond to community concerns with base closure activities.

In addition to defense work, Ms. Perri lobbies Congress on environmental and appropriations matters. She has worked in every major environmental media area including clean air, clean water, hazardous and solid waste issues, recycling, brownfields, pesticides and toxic substances.

Education:

Ms. Perri received her JD from the George Washington University Law School. She holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Colorado State University and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of South Carolina.
