- Commander of three diverse operational flying wings executing strategic intelligence, air refueling, strategic bomber, missile, and air mobility mission areas
Spectrum Experience:
- General Andrews is a member of the Air Force Division at SPECTRUM. His expertise includes include Air Refueling and Air Mobility, Information Technology, Information Operations, Homeland Security, Distance Learning, Advanced Distributive Learning, Training Transformation, QDR, Civil Military Supports issues, and community support. He also has expertise in both nuclear and conventional operations as well as Security and Vulnerability Assessments. He has led two bases and communities through the BRAC process.
Biography:
Major General James E. Andrews has extensive U.S. military experience culminating in the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense followed by four years experience in the corporate environment as Vice President of a large defense contracting company with the primary responsibility for defense business development. He has extensive knowledge of the budgetary process, and expertise in coordinating with Congressional members and staff to obtain budgetary funding streams and project support. His worldwide experience includes business development and contract execution in the Persian Gulf region and the Balkans. Recently, he designed the security architecture for the United Arab Emirates, Air Force.
Education:
General Andrews is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and holds an advanced business degree from Louisiana Tech University. He is also a graduate of the Air War College, Maxwell Air Force Base, AL and the National Security Leadership Course, Maxwell School of Leadership and Public Affairs, Syracuse University, New York
