Biography:
Vice Admiral Malcolm I. Fages joined The SPECTRUM Group after returning to the United States from London, where he served as the Director of European Operations for Northrop Grumman Information Technology International. He was responsible for identifying and pursuing new military, government, and commercial business opportunities throughout Europe, developing strategic alliances, and supporting the corporation in domestic business pursuits. Business focus areas included homeland security and resilience, identity management, information assurance, cybersecurity, and support to law enforcement.
Vice Admiral Fages completed a 36 year career with the Navy, serving as the Deputy Chairman of the NATO Military Committee in Brussels, Belgium. He has an extensive political-military background having also served as the Director of International Negotiations on the staff of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, with a portfolio that included nuclear and conventional arms control issues, weapons technology control, and policy matters involving the Former Soviet Union.
A submarine warfare officer, Vice Admiral Fages was the Director of Undersea Warfare for the Chief of Naval Operations. He commanded Submarine Group Two, with responsibility for all Atlantic Fleet attack submarines, and in earlier years, had commanded USS Pennsylvania and USS Narwhal. Vice Admiral Fages has also served as Carrier Group Eight Chief of Staff, with operations in Europe and Southwest Asia.
Education:
Admiral Fages received his Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Central Florida. He also holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and has received professional education from Harvard, MIT, and the University of Chicago
