- Rear Admiral Wilson is a member of the Navy Division at SPECTRUM. He has expertise in Naval engineering, training and operations, and defense business development.
Biography:
Rear Admiral TJ Wilson retired in 2003 from a 30 year career in the Navy. His service included three commands, one each as a Commander, Captain and Flag officer. Early assignments included engineering, training and operations positions in various different ship types to include aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers and frigates. As a flag officer Admiral Wilson was Commander Standing Naval Force Atlantic, one of the then four standing naval forces of NATO, and as Deputy Director Surface Warfare Division, Navy Headquarters Staff. His final assignment was as Oceanographer and Navigator of the Navy. This assignment included additional duties as the Senior National Representative which required him to interface with various counterparts around the globe, exchanging ideas and exploring technologies of mutual benefit.
After leaving active duty Admiral Wilson first worked as the President and Chief Operating Officer of a defense contractor. Following that, he joined IBM Global Business Services as an associate partner consultant and mission support account manager of the Navy account.
Education:
Rear Admiral Wilson has a B.S. degree in Operations Analysis from the U.S. Naval Academy. He attended various service schools to include the Executive Business Course for flag officers and successfully completed Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training.
