- Mr. Peoples is a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions, Army, Defense Agencies and International Business Divisions at SPECTRUM. He has expertise in international business development and strategic planning, marketing, and mergers and acquisitions, and well as defense technology issues.
- Led three due diligence projects with a total transaction value of $1.2B in 2007
- Co-lead for three major A&D company strategic planning projects
Biography:
Mr. Tom Peoples is a former Senior Vice President, International and Government Operations of GENCORP Inc., a defense, aerospace, automotive and pharmaceutical company. He was also President of the Swiss and Australian subsidiaries and the Foreign Trading Company. His responsibilities included merger and acquisition target selection, international market penetrations, offshore joint venture/co-production agreements and government relations in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Previously, Mr. Peoples served as a Vice President of GENCORP defense subsidiary AEROJET, serving as Vice President Strategic Business Development and Director of the Advanced Technology Programs Business. He also served as Director of Precision Guided Weapon Business Development for AEROJET .
Prior to GENCORP, Mr. Peoples served as Manager of Business Development for RAYTHEON in their Smart Munitions Programs Business.
His U.S. Army service included Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Acquisition), service on the Army General Staff, renovation of the U.S. Chemical Weapon Stockpile in Europe, commander of the task force that trained the Egyptian Army to clear the Suez minefields in 1974, and Bomb Disposal missions in support of the U.S. Secret Service protecting the President.
Mr. Peoples is a former member of the Defense Science Board and also served on the Board of the National Guard Youth Foundation. He is a current member of the Boards at the Technical Communications Corp and FRASER-VOLPE, LLC.
Education:
Mr. Peoples holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Benedictine College and an M.S. in International Relations from Troy State University.
