Biography:
Mr. Tom Peoples recently retired as Senior Vice President, International and Government Operations of GENCORP INC. (NYSE"GY") a Defense, Aerospace, Automotive, and Pharmaceutical company. He was also President of the Swiss and Australian subsidiaries and the Foreign Trading Company. His responsibilities included M&A target selection, international market penetrations, offshore joint venture/ co-production agreements and government relations in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He also served as Chairman of the company PAC.
He is a former member of the Defense Science Board and is a current member of the boards of Technical Communications Corp, Concord, Mass. and the Fraser-Volpe LLC, Warminster, PA.
Previously he was a Vice President of GENCORP'S defense subsidiary AEROJET, serving as Vice President Strategic Business Development and Director of the Advanced Technology Programs Business.
From 1992 to 1993 he was AEROJET'S Director of Precision Guided Weapon Business Development. From 1987 to 1992 he was Manager of Business Development for RAYTHEON'S Smart Munitions Programs Business (A NEW START).
Tom also served in the U.S. Army retiring in 1987. His service included: Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Acquisition), service on the Army General Staff, renovation of the US Chemical Weapon Stockpile in Europe, commander of the task force that trained the Egyptian Army to clear the Suez minefields in 1974, and Bomb Disposal missions in support of the U.S. Secret Service protecting the President.
He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Benedictine College and an MS in International Relations from Troy State University.
