Biography:
William A. Curtis is a senior executive with over 30 years of operations experience in Information Technology, Acquisition and Organization Development.
Bill brings to Spectrum eight years of Director level experience at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in various roles from Procurement and Logistics to C4 and Intelligence Programs. Prior to joining Spectrum, Bill served as a member of the Federal Governments Senior Executive Service (SES). His most recent assignment was with the DISA Center for Applications Sustainment.
Prior to joining DISA, Bill served as Acting Director, Defense Security Service and as Director for Information Technology Investment and Acquisition in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence. In March, 1998, Department of Defense leadership selected Bill to be the single DoD executive to organize and lead the Departments critical Year 2000 (Y2K) activities.
Before joining the civil service in 1992, Bill served in the United States Army as an Infantry Officer rising to the rank of Colonel in a variety of key command and staff positions. From 1973 to 1992 he served in the Pentagon bringing state of the art information technology solutions to the Army leadership.
Education:
Bill has a BSEE degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Masters in Operational Research and Analysis and Business Administration (MBA) from Tulane University.
