Navigating the Congressional Appropriation Process

The SPECTRUM Group, on behalf of a small defense company, was able to have a Climate Regulated Cargo Trailer included in the "items of special interest" list that priorities the funding for the National Guard and Reserve Equipment Account in the Defense Appropriations bill.

Although extremely late in the Congressional Appropriation process, TSG's Congressional and National Guard experts developed and managed an action plan that included drafting letters, information papers and editing briefings, assisting the company in obtaining letters of support from state Adjutant Generals, scheduling meetings with selected Senate and House members of several congressional delegations, briefing and obtaining support from the Senate and House Defense Appropriations Sub Committee, the National Guard Bureau and the Army National Guard.
